Humble Choice: October 2020

The last two months have had it such that classic and top tier subscribers for ‘this month only’ received all twelve titles rather than having to select ten or nine respectively. So who knows how long ‘this month only’ will last for, but while it does I think I might change up my format a little.
I imagine there might still be some people out there on lesser Humble Choice plans, so I’ll still run through a prioritised order of picks from most preferred to least preferred — pretending as always for the purposes of those picks, that I don’t own any of them already. (Although in this case, I actually truly don’t own any!)
But if that’s not you, just have at it! Pick them all up! ;D

I’m quite excited by Tropico 6 being in this list. I’ve been on the edge of buying it ever since it came out. Ditto for Sunless Skies, actually. I do already own (and love) Sunless Seas, but I had heard some complaints about Skies — admittedly mostly during it’s now long past early access phase, though — that held me back from purchasing.
After a couple of months of somewhat lacklustre options, this is quite a nice change of pace.
I’ve gone back and forward though on some of the positions on this list for other titles though. For example, both Lightmatter and Autonauts could sit higher on the list depending on my mood in the moment. It’s not outside the realm of possibility that I end up playing those at least a little before my top two picks even.
Ah well.
We’ll see how it goes! I’m probably not going to pay for this one early for immediate access — I have a lot of stuff I already want to revisit on the new PC, so no need to further add to that problem. :)
