Five Game Challenge Day 22: Looking Forward #3
A day late on this post — it was bumped given the sad news of Brad McQuiad’s passing.
Not too much to add with this one though — just one title in fact. So I’ll add in something else down the bottom. :)
Age of Wonders: Planetfall – Revelations
I picked up the full-nerd edition of Age of Wonders: Planetfall when it came out — so I’ve now received the first DLC from the Season Pass. Honestly, even as I write this — I know very little of what is included.
I haven’t even watched that release trailer in full yet!
But for all that — this might be one of the more challenging titles to ignore given much of my friend group is also wanting to jump back in, this coming weekend. (So mean, guys!)
But so close to the end now! And as I’ve noted before — I’ve only really had to rely on Warframe and Skyrim to get through. So as kind of suspected, the number of games (in the context of a month) was really not the challenge. Five is super generous.
The challenge lay in having picked those five games for an entirely different purpose. They were picked in the context of needing to last for a whole year — but at some interminable point in the future. Not right now. If I had been picking for a month — and the very next month at that — my choices would have been very different.
In any case — since the game part of this is so short, and it still fits in more broadly with the concept of ‘looking forward’, here’s something else:
Community Event: Secret Blogger Santa — hosted by Livid Lightning
Link: Secret Blogger Santa
“Lightning” Ellen is hosting a bit of a Christmas event, with sign-ups closing November 29th.
Ellen has full details over at the linked post, but in her own words here’s the summary:
Here’s how it goes down. Basically, anyone who signs up will be randomly assigned another blogger who chose to partake in this event. You have to “gift” your assigned blogger an item from a video game (or other work of fiction if they aren’t a game blogger) in the form of a blog post promoting their blog and explaining why you chose their gift. And yes, that means another blogger will be doing the same for you!Community Event: Secret Blogger Santa (Livid Lightning, 2019)
I like the idea of investigating another blogger’s body of work to try and find the ‘right’ gift for them, so should be a fun little thing over the Christmas break. :)
