Apologies to anyone I may have inadvertently gotten excited by the prospect of an actual sequel to Journey. But I’m referring to the fact I, finally, at long last, kicked over my main Elden Ring save into NG+.
I’m glad I held off on this until after completing the DLC though, because I’m now more certain than ever I won’t complete a NG+ run.
It was incredibly satisfying giving the introductory ‘You’re meant to die here’ boss a good what-for without breaking a sweat, don’t get me wrong, but it was less satisfying when this degree of ease carried on into the game proper, with the item drops also reflecting the stage of the game a first-run character would have been at.
I haven’t yet jumped into any research on what I should expect from an Elden Ring NG+ run if I were to continue, and I may do exactly this, but the feeling I’m getting so far?
Well, if I get the itch for more Elden Ring — I’d probably be better off with a brand new character like UltrViolet is doing!
